Regulatory Burden Reduction Act
The NDP needs to focus on getting out of the way of business owners, entrepreneurs, and job creators in Alberta! As I knock on doors every evening, I hear so many examples of how this government has lost touch with Albertans.
In November, the NDP displayed that they are not fighting for Alberta businesses (though they may claim that they are) by voting down the Regulatory Burden Reduction Act (Bill 207, put forth by UCP MLA Grant Hunter).
This bill would have meant that for every new regulation the government introduced, they would have to delete an existing regulation. This type of legislation has worked well at other levels of government in Canada and in other jurisdictions around the world to control the administrative burden on the private sector.
If elected, I will fight to reintroduce this bill and keep fighting to alleviate the lengthy and costly administrative process for businesses.
I need your help to be selected as the United Conservative Candidate in Calgary-Glenmore. In order to vote in the nomination, you must be a current UCP member. Please visit the 'Take Action' page to learn more.
